![]() Tommy "The Gunner" Lodwick Jr., best known as the former drummer of late Milwaukee
band Dark Shift is still flowing in the veins of metal. With an unending drive
for metal, he's spent his time submerged in his own projects: BAD BLOOD and SPARTAN AD. BAD BLOOD,
an aggressive eleven track album with Eric Stark on vocals and Mike Haefke on guitars, demonstrated his own abilities on bass
guitar and lyrics as well as the percussive brilliance of his own style. BAD BLOOD
can be found currently at The FireWalk Metal Shop in West Allis, Wisconsin or ordered online through paypal. For information
regarding this and other projects of Tommy's, please email tommy3625@aol.com. Shortly, we will have links to a review
of BAD BLOOD from Adrenalin Metal Union. BAD BLOOD is a truly original and motivating metal experience in progressive
thrash. Over the last three years, Tommy has worked manically to create
a big expression of his own musical abilities now including his own guitar talent and vocal skills. This project has
been called SPARTAN AD. It is a new perspective in metal that manifests the idea
of a one man army against the odds. In metal, a musician must maintain his stamina and desire to pull through the clouds
of devastation. Tommy is indeed a source of stamina and undying lust for metal.
Tommy "The Gunner" derives inspiration from any source of extremity: movies, relationships, tragedy, and
inevitable changes. Some of his lyrics transpire from actual events as well as works of fiction that have played a part
in his own motivation. Some of his major musical influences include (but are not limited to) Pantera, Old Man's Child,
Death, and Slayer. Much of this can be heard on the BAD BLOOD album as well as
in his upcoming release, SPARTAN AD.
Tommy is interested in playing in a band again, but only on drums. He's spent more than fourteen years mastering his
art. To experience a taste of this badass drummer at his deed, click here.
